Welcome to Oak Dragon Camps

Every summer people of all ages and from many walks of life, gather together for 10 days and collectively create a safe and caring community, living closely with nature. This forms the energetic structure in which a variety of workshops, ceremonies and celebrations take place, and is the spirit of Oak Dragon Camps.

Oak Dragon Camps started in 1987, following on from Glastonbury Camps. Since then there have been a continuous series of camps each with a different yearly theme. Our summer camp (usually held in August) is the main event of the year and is generally attended by fifty to eighty people. We find this is the optimum number – enough to form a cohesive community where all participants can get to know one another and feel part of the whole. Oak Dragon Camps are a non-profit making organisation. We try and cover our costs for running the camp whilst keeping costs to the individual as low as possible. Our aim is to provide a safe space in nature, where we can learn new skills, celebrate and expand ourselves in a supportive community and have a very enjoyable time doing so. We also hold some smaller ‘Gatherings’ at cross-quarter days throughout the year.
