Families are very welcome at Oak Dragon and it can be a very fulfilling experience to care for your children within a natural setting and wider circle of community or “tribe”. Although Oak Dragon does not provide a creche or any form of childcare, many parents find that the simple offerings we provide such as trampoline, hammocks, play dome or swimming pond can provide hours of fun, alongside making new friends, gaining new skills and growing independence and confidence in a supportive environment. Most of our teenagers and young adults grew up coming to camp and will tell you how it has shaped their lives. We aim to make a summer camp a place where young people of all ages can feel at home and be completely themselves.

Examples of things to do for children include an adventure off-site, a puppet show, games (both competitive and non-competitive) a kids dome, craft activities and many opportunities to integrate into the rhythm of the day including cooking, baking bread, attending the community morning meeting, creating ceremony, using the talking stick and much more.
